Victorian Era Cabinet Card Photo - Father, Mother and Daughter...Maybe. At the bottom of the card is the photographer's info- Webster, Dallas, TX. He operated there from about 1890-1910. The 3 people in this photo are dressed up in their Sunday finery, but their relationship is difficult to determine. They do look related. The 2 females look significantly younger than the man, and could be sisters. But we'll never know. Considering it was ≈1900, smiling was not encouraged. Clearly these three people had no problem obliging. The photo is in very good condition... clear and crisp, no edge or corner wear. The back is clean, however the front has some soiling, and the bottom edge has a small crack. Please see all of the photos above to confirm the condition and contents of this auction.

A rare and original, "Victorian Era  Cabinet Card Photo - Father, Mother and Daughter ... Maybe."  It is an  outstanding, period cabinet card photograph, which measures approx. 5-1/2" X 3-7/8" (16.5 cm X 10.8 cm.)  and is mounted on its original beige Card Mount , which measures approx. 6-1/2" X 4-1/4" (13.8 cm X 10 cm.)  At the bottom of the card is the photographer's information: Webster, Dallas, TX.  And he operated there from about 1890-1910.
This fascinating photograph three people dressed up in their Sunday finery.   It is a bit hard to tell, what the relationship is between the 3 people.   They do look related.  The 2 females look significantly younger than the man, and could be sisters.  But you can make up your own story, if you want to.
We all know that the exposure time in the early days of photography was very long, so smiling was not encouraged.   Clearly these three people had no problem obliging.
This fascinating "Turn-of-the-Century Cabinet Card"  is in very good condition.  The details are very clear and crisp.  There is no surface damage, edge or corner wear to speak of.  The back is fairly clean, however the front does have some soiling, and the bottom edge has a small (≈3/8" crack.)
