  • Condition: Swayzee Glass Company, Swayzee, IN. Glass Jar is in good condition with one thing that needs to be noted. The bottom of the jar is a thick glass and appears to have a stress fracture due to the manufacturing process. The fracture does not go through the jar and the jar holds water. You may need to stretch the photo to see the fracture. This jar came off of an old farm in Dyer, Indiana in the early 1970's. The Swayzee Glass Company was acquired by Ball around 1906. The color of the jar is a blue/green. It has a heavy embossment of "SWAYZEE'S IMPROVED MASON" on the front. This is a somewhat crude jar. The base has a heavy seam and there are tiny bubbles throughout. The cap is zinc and the glass top is made by Boyd. Please see photos for visual condition.
