Lot of 8 Companion Library books with two stories in each, uniquely styled with covers on each side for the story on that side. They are geared for the young readers on the 1960s, all printed in the USA by Grosset & Dunlap and dated 1963. These were my wife's childhood books that enhanced her love of reading at a young age. These are the titles:
Robinson Crusoe/Swiss Family Robinson
Little Women/Little Men
Gulliver's Travels/Treasure Island
The Jungle Book/Wizard of Oz
Arabian Nights/Aesop's Fables
Alice in Wonderland/Five Little Peppers and How They Grew
Heidi/Hans Brinker
Grimms' Fairy Tales/Anderson's Fairy Tales
These were not expensive books at the time, so they all show the normal wear of years of use and storage. The pages are clean and are all present. Some of the covers show more wear than others, but all bindings are in good condition and show no broken backs. There is a bit of grim from more than forty years of reading and storage on shelves and in boxes. None are by no means mint, but neither are they junk either. They would also make nice shelf decor.
