Description
I am selling my late mother's extensive antique and vintage photography collection she acquired over her lifetime with her genealogy work. I will be including any information she had provided and will include any information that I am able to add to it.This item is a very nice 1890s cabinet card of a cute little girl with her long hair down her back, wearing a lovely white little dress with a large bow on her shoulder and on her shoes and she is wearing a metal bracelet on her upper arm, leaning on a wicker chair, standing in front of a painted backdrop while she stands on a fur rug. Nice embossed artistic border on cabinet card.

The following is some snippets of the history of Carbondale, P.A. from their website that I thought was interesting: The City of Carbondale, known as "The Pioneer City", was the spark that ignited the Industrial Revolution more than a century ago. D & H Gravity Railroad originated in Carbondale in 1829. It became the first million dollar corporation in the United States. In 1833 Carbondale held the very first St. Patrick's Day parade in the United States. November of 1974 Carbondale was overrun by media and government agencies due to the report of a UFO landing in town. Allegedly a Hoax, no UFO was found but the legend of the CARBONALIEN was born!
