1890s Cabinet Card Photograph of a Young Man, mounted on a 'Special Finish' Card." The photographers were Wagner & Nickel, and they ran photographic Studio, in Chicago, IL in the 1890's. It became fashionable to sell the customers a 'fancy" card … for a fee of course, and this card has "special" boarders and flowery decoration surrounding the central photo. This fascinating "Cabinet Card Photograph" is in good condition. There is some surface wear and soiling in the front. In the back are some remnants of the glue which a previous owner used to store this photo in a photo album. There is no fading or foxing to speak of, and the edges are strong and complete. A rare and original, "1890s Cabinet Card Photograph of a Young Man, mounted on a 'Special Finish' Card."  It is an outstanding, period photograph, which measures approx. 5-1/2" X 4" (14 cm. X 10.2 cm.) and is mounted on its original Card Mount, which measures approx. 6-1/2" X 4-1/4 " (16 cm X 10.5 cm.)

Very seldom a package will get "stuck" in customs for as much as
